We're a State Farm agency in Danville. We're looking for a college student who wants real sales experience before graduating.
This is a sales support job, not customer service. You'll spend most of each shift on the phone calling prospects. When someone is interested, you transfer them live to one of our licensed agents. You'll also get forms signed and follow up on underwriting requirements until each policy is done.
What you'll do
- Make outbound cold calls to prospects each shift
- Transfer interested prospects live to our licensed sales team
- Get forms and applications completed and signed
- Follow up on underwriting requirements until each policy is complete
- Keep notes and activity up to date in our CRM
- Work toward weekly activity goals
Pay $15.00 per hour plus commission.
Hours Afternoons daily, all day Monday, Wednesday and Friday, or all day Tuesday and Thursday, whichever fits your class schedule.
No license needed. If you want, you can get licensed later and move up in the agency. This part-time job can become a full-time job in the future.
Qualifications
- Current college student
- Comfortable on the phone, and able to hear "no" without getting rattled
- Organized and good at following up
- Coachable and reliable about showing up for shifts
- 18 or older
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Compensation $15.00 per hour
